Time without time
At the time after the state of emergency caused by the Coronavirus epidemic, Red Cross of Serbia in cooperation with Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and UNFPA announced a contest for the literary work entitled “How did you spend your time in isolation?”.
The writing was an opportunity for citizens to describe in a creative way, through a written work or a poem, how they organized their lives in isolation, what activities they carried out, as well as to express their thoughts and feelings during their stay in isolation.
Older Persons in the Republic of Serbia and COVID19 pandemic
This report was created to analyse the situation and the quality of life of older persons in Serbia during the epidemic of COVID-19 and especially during the state of emergency in Serbia between 16 March and 6 May 2020.
Consequences of COVID-19 on women’s and men’s economic empowerment
COVID-19 pandemic profoundly changed lives of women and men in spring 2020. The UNFPA and UN Women regional offices for Europe and Central Asia have initiated regional research aiming at assessing the impact of pandemic on women’s and men’s livelihoods and experiences. The report presents findings based on Rapid Gender Assessment in Serbia, conducted by SeConS – Development Initiative Group.
UNFPA response to COVID19 pandemics in Serbia
The COVID-19 pandemic triggered unprecedented measures by governments around the world to fight the outbreak. Evidence from prior outbreaks shows that crisis could exact a massive toll on women and girls, and that already existing inequalities and discrimination of marginalized groups such as persons with disabilities and those in extreme poverty, can worsen.
UNFPA was on the ground, reaching out to the most vulnerable older people in Serbia and ensuring that women, youth and older people across the country get solid information, support and services they need.
COVID-19: A Gender Lens
Disease outbreaks affect women and men differently, and pandemics make existing inequalities for women and girls and discrimination of other marginalized groups such as persons with disabilities and those in extreme poverty, worse. This needs to be considered, given the different impacts surrounding detection and access to treatment for women and men.
Access of adolescents to information regarding sexual and reproductive health
This qualitative survey was carried out in the period from June to November of 2019 in an attempt to reveal how young people aged 15 to 16 search and find information about sexual and reproductive health.
Project of International Migration Estimation and Correction of the Population Estimates Production
The main objective of the project on International Migration Estimation and Correction of the Population Estimates Production is to examine a large number of sources of data on international emigration and immigration, in order to try to obtain data that would enable evaluation of annual net migration for Serbia.
Starenje i digitalna uključenost
Crveni krst Srbije i Institut društvenih nauka predstavili su 11. decembra 2019. godine u beogradskom Medija centru rezultate istraživanja „Starenje i digitalna uključenost“. Istraživanje je sprovedeno tokom 2019. godine u okviru projekta „Pristup starijih osoba informacionim i komunikacionim tehnologijama“ uz podršku Populacionog fonda Ujedinjenih nacija (UNFPA). Na konferenciji za štampu govorili su Nataša Todorović, stručna saradnica Crvenog krsta Srbije, Goran Bašić, Direktor Instituta društvenih nauka, Brankica Janković, Poverenica za zaštitu ravnopravnosti, i Nevena Šović, predstavnica UNFPA, a pored rezultata istraživanja predstavljen je i Vodič za e-usluge za starije, kreiran tokom projekta.
